Banh mi, a traditional Vietnamese dish

About

Our Story

Opened by Jason Nguyen and his wife Kimberly Le in October 2020 during the pandemic, Viet Kitchen was inspired by Jason's home country of Vietnam. The two previously owned Kim's Noodles in Monona and other nail salons in Madison, so they've had many years of contributing to Wisconsin's local economy in various capacities. Though, they have since focused their attention on Viet Kitchen.

Viet Kitchen serves phó, bánh mi, and other rice and noodle plates. In addition, Viet Kitchen has a wide variety of fruit and milk teas, and other drinks. The teas are inspired by their time in California. Phó is of course one of the most popular dishes, but so is bánh mi. Jason wakes up early every morning to make the bread from scratch. The in-house bread is key to its flaky texture.
